Hello out there
As I look over my notes and meditate on all the things I heard and saw at the conference last week, I kept seeing two common threads--the need to better equip parents to raise faithful families, and the need to better equip Christians to become fully devoted followers of Christ. I have been led to the conclusion that these two ideas/dilemmas could be intimately related. What if while we met the goals of REVEAL, we were also intentionally providing opportunites for parents and children to discuss and share their growth? It would require integration of all the systems within the church, and what could make it so powerful is that kids and parents would be learning the same kinds of keys at the same time. I am trying to flesh out these thoughts and wondered if anyone else, at Willow or elsewhere, have connected the two in the same way. Is there a plan to integrate the ideas behind REVEAL into Promiseland so that kids can start their discipleship now? Has anyone come up with some truly simple and practical ways to get parents and kids practicing their faith together? Please share your ideas!
Thanks so much!
Kim
