Your Responses to Session 2!

Here are some of the comments we've received by text or email...

Lunch session with Hybels & Haugen great idea, I found it very helpful!

Please your message on justice is ok but what about African Americans and justice today - not just overseas!!!

Absolutely amazing!

Here are some responses we've encountered in the blogosphere...

"On a personal note, I found this to be very moving. Honestly, I could go home now and be satisfied with this Summit. This, like Bono a few years ago and Richard Curtis last year, resonates with my heart more than big building programs or Easter services with tens of thousands of people."

"Too often as Christians we shy away from the dangerous, hard, and improbable, but those are exactly the kinds of things Jesus leads towards. [Haugen] was truly inspiring and within moments I had a voicemail from my mom saying that she 'was undone.' It was truly a message that meant to undo and challenge people in the best way. Gary Haugen way to go!"

"To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to this one, but I was surprisingly pleased by it. He is the founder of International Justice Mission, a group that literally frees slaves throughout the world - along with a lot of other things. His point about doing their work with integrity because thousands of real lives are at stake was inspiring."

Oddly enough, the first year I chose to come to the Summit was not the year that featured the big names like Bono (who doesn't love U2?!) or Colin Powell. No, I chose to come for the first time when I had heard of none of the speakers other than Bill Hybels. I was so pleased to have the opportunity to hear Gary speak and couldn't for the life of me figure out why he was scheduled so early--his seemed like a finale kind of lecture. It no longer matters to me when he was scheduled. His message resonated with me throughout the entire Summit and I can envision it impacting our ministry in the near future. Thank you to all the speakers and coordinators and volunteers and praise God for men and women like you who are not afraid or ashamed to be used by Him.

This is my first time to the Summit and I cannot express my gratitude for the message you gave. It was so touching and I feel like I have been moved to the core. Social justice has not been a big topic in my mind, but I saw in your ministry what it means to bring glory and manifest the kingdom of God that is already here but not yet. Thank you so much.
