I know what you mean. It is so easy to sidetracked by the tasks and stay busy, it has become a defense mechanism for me to avoid looking inward at my heart. I doubt you will remember me but I took your Simplicy class during the last Soul Feast. The idea that everything I do should be focused toward 1 thing, doing the Will of God escapes me often. When I realize I am doing this, I feel convicted to change, I do well for a while but it is SO easy slip back into the tasks. I need to ask myself often..."Why am I doing this?" "What are my motives?" Those are hard questions to ask myself but if I would grow more and more into the likeness of my creator, I must ask! When I worship, I want to really mean things like "I'm living my life for you" and "Tis So Sweet To Trust in Jesus"! Thank you for posting this! Blessings!
