And the Winner is.....

One of my favorite events of the Arts Conference is the Film Festival.  This was the second year that the WCA hosted this event to highlight and inspire church artists with the creativity, content and production value that is coming from church media teams these days.  Thirty-four churches sent in over 130 submissions for categories like Promos, Music, Animation, Drama, Humor, Topical and Stories.

The overall Film Festival winner this year went to Community Christian Church of Naperville, Illinois for their music video, Serving Back.

Here are the other category winners.

Check back to the Idea Network to see other great videos posted.

"Here are the other category winners." Where? By the way, I loved the video expo. Great videos, and really a fun event. Thanks for delivering a life-changing conference every year! Incidentally, I was also wondering if the monologues from one of the Day 1 sessions were available on towardwonder.com? I can't find them.

Bret, I believe you are referring to the drama/song "Stuck/Drop". You can find the drama script and video on toward wonder.com. This does not include the song due to copyright reasons. Here is the link to the product: http://www.towardwonder.com/prodsb.asp?invtid=PR31871&f=x hope that helps!

I'm confused. I found serving back on youtube.com - I wish palm sunday and m&ms was on youtube.com - I saw the DVD you can buy which says you can pay 30$ to own it, but what happens when a smaller church just wants to buy it to show once a year? $30.00 is a little steep to pay for a once a year showing... anyway to get it on youtube.com? It would be encouraging to so many.

Hi, Liz - Thanks for your question regarding the possibility of posting some of the film festival videos on youtube.com. I love youtube and believe that it has been a wonderful way for people from all over the world to inspire others and make them laugh (sometimes I spend way too much time on the site!). However, I think that the youtube concept has created some confusion regarding what is "copyright legal" to show in a public setting. If you see a video on youtube, it does not mean that you have permission from the copyright owner to play the video...unfortunately even if it's just once a year. Let me know if you have any other questions about this one - it's a pretty complicated issue.
