Remember
For a short time this morning, I was oblivious to the date and the significance of the day. But as soon as my brain started working I remembered, yesterday was the 10th, my brother's birthday. Today was the 11th - I remember.
Like many of you I remember where I was on the morning of the 11th. I won't ever forget what I saw or the words I heard. I won't forget the disbelief. I won't forget the faces and the stories. I won't forget the people.
For some of you, I know you experience this day very different. You lived through September 11th - you didn't have to watch the news or read the paper. You lost those you love and care for - your moms, your dads, your children and siblings, your friends and members of your church.
I'm sorry ... I can only imagine how deep the loss still is.
I just wanted to let you know that there are many of us who remember not just the day but all of you. We pray for God and his people to bring you comfort.
You've kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book. Psalm 56:8
