SESSION 1 – HIGHLIGHTS & MORE
Are you glad you are here?
What did you think of Kaotic, the drumline that opened up
the conference? These guys have an
awesome story. This young group of
percussionist are from the Englewood area, on the Chicago’s south side. The group was founded by 25 year-old Jamie Poindexter. Jamie started Kaotic to influence the kids in
the neighborhood, to get them involved in something with a purpose – to pull
them out of gangs, move them away from drugs and crime and to offer stability
to fractured families. The group
practices in their neighborhood so they can draw more kids in. They provide stability, structure and
purpose. Kaotic is a regular part of the
halftime entertainment for the WNBA’s newest team, the Chicago Sky. They are also featured in a myriad of other
sports and entertainment venues.
It was a privilege to worship
with you this morning. I was moved by
your engagement, enthusiasm, and your dancing!
I bet for many of you it is a gift to be a part of a worship experience
you are leading. That is always how I
feel .
I am wondering what stirred you
in Nancy’s message. What sticks out as
the take away?
